Francis has been practising as a clinical psychologist for 30 years after professionally trained in Hong Kong. She was the past Chairperson of Division of Clinical Psychology, The Hong Kong Psychological Society (2008- 11). She showed interest in working with autistic children early in her profession. After she joined the government, she has become specialized in assessment and intervention with children and their parents as well as promoting positive parenting. Currently, she works as a freelance clinical psychologist to continue to pursue her interest in infant and child mental health and positive parenting.
