Dr. Joyce MOK Wing Si, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. MOK has been working as a clinical psychologist in public service for over 30 years and served as the Manager of the Department of Clinical Psychology. She has a special interest in infant mental health (IMH) and has been exposed to clinical attachment opportunities worldwide, including but not limited to, Tavistock and Portman Clinic in London, the Children’s Crisis Centre in Florida, Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Parent-Infant Research Institute in Melbourne, and Ann Arbor Centre for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in Michigan. Her PhD was in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in Mental Health & Developmental Disorders.
Dr. MOK is keen to bring IMH service to her workplace, offering specialized assessment and intervention for young children under five. She is actively involved in DIRFloortime training for young children with neurodevelopmental issues and infant cases with psychosomatic problems. Besides, she is also interested in managing young children’s emotional and behavioral challenges, and parent-child relationship difficulties, such as attachment, traumatic experiences, and parental mental illness.
To further promote IMH in Hong Kong, Dr. MOK, together with her professional colleagues, has established the Hong Kong Association for Infant Mental Health Limited (HKAIMH), and served as the Founding President since 2014. Dr. MOK is an associate fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society, and a member of the Hong Kong Clinical Psychologists Association.
